More about ETL:
ETL Testing Laboratories which was founded by Edison has been conducting electrical performance and reliability tests since 1896. ETL is recognized by USA related institutions like UL or CSA mark. Products remarked ETL is considered as “Approved” by Authorities Having Jurisdiction as well. This certification mark indicates that the product has been tested to and has met the minimum requirements of a widely recognized (consensus) product safety standard, that the manufacturing site has been audited, and that the applicant has agreed to a program of periodic factory follow-up inspections to verify continued conformance.
Products only remarked with US ETL need to do inspection 4 times a year while only with Canada ETL needs twice a year. If products have both, then 4 times a year required.
